An absolutely charming, eminent lawyer (retired), now a consultant, author, lecturer and historian, is looking for a part-time Personal Assistant for one afternoon a week (4 hours) to help with his admin and general PA responsibilities.
The role will be based in his home office in Clapham, where there is free parking and is easily accessible by bus and tube.
The role will involve:
• Sorting and filing all his personal, legal and business paperwork, some of which relates to his research for his current book
• Sorting out his digital filing so more easily accessible
• Assisting with research for current book
• Cataloguing his massive book collection – personal, legal, history, research
• Drafting and responding to emails and all correspondence
• Take dictation typing straight onto a laptop - he speaks slowly
• Booking his events and transport, all travel
• Solving any IT issues or dealing with someone who can
• All personal admin.
• Ad hoc tasks/projects
The candidate will be/have :
• Meticulous attention to detail and professional correspondence style - as a lawyer, this is essential
• Previous experience as an EA or senior PA – supporting at a board level. Supported in legal before would be great, but NOT essential
• Good academics
• Good IT skills
• Muck-in, upbeat, kind and patient
• Flexible, agile
